college process guidance

Make your dream rowing program a reality.

P3pe offers expert guidance to student-athletes and families as they navigate the college selection process and recruitment.

WHAT WE OFFER

Begin Your Journey with a Strong Foundation

Every college selection process begins with a clear understanding of current positioning, opportunities, and gaps. The College Recruitment Assessment establishes that foundation—providing initial direction and identifying the level of support required moving forward.

If you are new to P3PE, this is the perfect introduction to how we work. We ask that all new clients start here so that we may properly assess positioning and ensure the best fit as we move forward.

This is a 60-minute one-on-one working session where athletes and families can ask questions, talk through their current position, and get properly aligned on initial direction. Coach Cunningham will provide high-level feedback on athletic profile, academics, and recruiting exposure, along with immediate next steps.

client testimonials

  • As parents of a club/high school rower that was looking to continue rowing in college, Cass was instrumental in guiding our son through the recruiting process (which can get quite confusing). She always had our son's best interest in mind, even when her opinion differed from ours. She provided our son with direction but held him accountable for putting in the work. Her involvement in the process was also extremely beneficial to our home dynamic, as our son looked to Cass as both coach and mentor. We consider Cass a friend and we look forward to seeing her at future regattas.

  • We have had the privilege of working with Coach Cass and P3 for the past 10 years. Both my son and daughter have benefited tremendously from her guidance and mentorship—not only as athletes but also as young adults. Coach Cass creates a safe and supportive environment where athletes can challenge themselves, overcome obstacles, and navigate hardships, emerging stronger and more resilient in every way. Her insights and experience made the college application process far less stressful, and both of my children went on to row at Division I colleges. We are deeply grateful for the role she has played in their athletic journeys and personal growth and we feel incredibly fortunate to have worked with her. — Janie (Zara Taylor’s Mom)

  • As a coxswain coming from a team that wasn’t well known, Cassandra helped me put myself out there as a potential recruit. She taught me how to form connections with coaches and instructed me on the best ways to communicate with them. Cassandra cut through the stress of my recruiting process with her support and guidance by helping me draft correspondence with coaches and keeping me on track with the little things. She played a key role in me ultimately ending up at the right place by ensuring that I found a school that fit athletically, academically, and socially. — Ada LaMaster: Headed to Washington

  • Cassandra’s knowledge of the college recruiting process is unparalleled. She’s honest, approachable, and incredibly supportive. She helped our son identify colleges that aligned with his goals and values, and she made sure he was prepared for every step, from campus visits to interviews with coaches. Her mentorship went beyond rowing—she helped him grow as a person. We’re so grateful for everything she’s done.

  • As crew-naive parents of an aspiring collegiate coxswain, we needed a partner to help navigate an unfamiliar and complex recruiting process.  Cassandra aptly balanced all our needs: she prioritized our daughter’s interests and supported her to own her process and clarify her priorities, all the while being responsive to our questions and concerns and ensuring we were well informed. In the end, our daughter found a great fit for her academic and coxing goals! Nearly as important was that reaching the optimal outcome was accompanied by an unimaginably smooth process. — Rachelle (Ada LaMaster’s Mom)

  • Coach Cassandra made the college selection process so much easier for us. Her guidance helped us find the perfect program for our daughter, and she’s absolutely thriving!

  • Working with P3PE and Coach Cunningham gave me the confidence to reach out to college coaches and taught me how to represent myself. I couldn’t have done it without her support.

  • Hiring Cassandra was and continues to be one of the best decisions our family has made. My husband and I did not know anything about the very nuanced and at times complicated process of collegiate recruiting and having Cassandra as part of our team made it a pleasant, calm experience. She developed a great relationship with our daughter, helped her develop and maintain professional communication with college coaches and, importantly, emphasized the priority of first finding a school that you as an individual love and then looking at the program for you as an athlete. As an extra bonus, Cassandra saved our family from stressful dynamics that would have arisen had we been in charge of leading the process ourselves! Thank you, Cassandra!
